How it started…

Richard (better known as Dick) was one of the best, if not the best hand-engravers of his time.

He had an immense passion for his work that was shown through the countless hours he put into producing the best possible hand-engraved products for his customers.

Dick’s business, “While You Wait Services” was an extremely successful business in the 70’s, 80s and early 90s. “While You Wait Services” was the go-to business for important quality hand-engraving, Dick engraved every City to Surf Medal for many many years, he would also engrave the National Basketball League (NBL) trophies and he was also commissioned to engraved the America’s Cup Trophy for the Australian mini series ‘The Challenge’ (1986). Dick also was the favoured hand engraver for major clients such as W. C Penfolds, City Rail and The Commowealth Bank.

Unfortunately, in early 1993 Dick passed away suddenly, which meant “While You Wait Services” was ultimately forced to close.

After wanting to follow in his father’s footsteps since Dicks’ passing, Andrew (Dick’s son) and Chloe (Dick’s granddaughter) decided they wanted to try and continue his legacy by creating their own engraving business.

Hence, LaserGrafix was created.

LaserGrafix aims to honor Dick’s legacy by providing high quality engraved products that will last a lifetime and that their customers are pleased to own.

We hope you can be part of the journey.
